General Motors Co. remains committed to repaying its billions of dollars in government loans, though it's too soon to say when that will happen, the automaker's chairman said Tuesday.

 Lear Exits Bankruptcy
The Southfield-based company says the four month stay in bankruptcy cut its debt by $2.8 billion. It's also lined up $1.5 billion in new business. A federal judge approved Lear's reorganization plan last week, paving the way for its emergence from bankruptcy.
