Grayling theme park to get all energy from renewable sources
The Brighton-based renewable energy developer Partners Green said it has signed a letter of commitment to install an integrated renewable energy system at Main Street America, a proposed $161 million theme park in Grayling Township.
Officials at Partners Green say Main Street plans to be the first theme park powered entirely by renewables. Partners Green said it would own and operate the installation and sell energy to Main Street under a long-term agreement at rates competitive with traditional suppliers.
The company said components of an estimated 50-megawatt load are likely to include power generation from vertical axis wind turbines, horizontal axis wind turbines, solar, hydrogen, and waste burning.
