Learning at the Detroit Opera House
Enrich your summer with a workshop or class at the Michigan Opera Theater. National Kidney Foundation

Volunteer at the Detroit International Jazz Fest
The Detroit International Jazz Festival is looking for about 500 vounteers to help host the largest free Jazz Festival in North America. May 15: Pancakes and Politics
The Michigan Chronicle and sister company - Real Times Media announced the return of Pancakes and Politics. Promising more pertinent discussion on hot topics that affect the metro-Detroit community, the series will highlight a variety of current, pressing business, civic and political issues. The forums will take place on May 15 and June 19 at both the DAC in Detroit and for the first time the Townsend Hotel, in Birmingham. Individual tickets can be purchased for $65 per forum. May 31: Susan G. Komen Detroit Race for the Cure
Help fight breast cancer by taking part in the 17th annual Susan G. Komen Detroit Race for the Cure. There's a 5-K race, a 5-K walk, and a one-mile walk, at Comerica Park on Saturday, May 31. Ten thousand pink ribbons will decorate the Woodward Avenue route from Warren to Comerica Park.
