Jayne Bower

Jayne Bower has been a broadcast journalist for more than 25 years.  That's remarkable because, like her colleague, Sonny Eliot, she is only 38 years old!
Jayne came to WWJ from KFWB in Los Angeles where she was morning drive time anchor for 13 years and her work was honored with 15 Golden Mike Awards, the Susan B. Anthony Communicator of the Year Award and several awards from the Los Angeles Press Club and Associated Press.  It was a 6.8 earthquake in 1994 that convinced Jayne and her husband Jeff to return to their Michigan roots with their two sons.

Jayne was born and raised in Ann Arbor and is a proud graduate of the University of Michigan. In 2006, she was elected president of the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists, Detroit Chapter -- a labor union that represents thousands of broadcasters, actors and other performers.
