Detroit (WWJ) -- A case of road rage on Detroit's eastside. Detroit police say a 33 year old man was shot by another man Friday afternoon after an altercation on Cadieux near I-94.
Police say the two drivers were westbound on I-94 when one driver allegedly cut off another driver. They two vehicles continued on the freeway before exiting at Cadieux around 2 p.m. Once stopped at a red light, the 33-year old got out of his car and allegedly kicked out the second driver's window and tried to pull the driver out of his car. That's when the second driver, a 29-year old, pulled a gun and shot the man.
The man who was shot was taken to a local hospital by an acquaintance. He's in critical condition.
The shooter had a valid concealed weapons permit and stayed at the scene, according to police. The driver is being questioned.
The Wayne County Prosecutor's office will determine if any charges will be filed.
