Man Shot After Road Rage Incident

Detroit (WWJ)  -- A case of road rage on Detroit's eastside.  Detroit police say a 33 year old man was shot by another man Friday afternoon after an altercation on Cadieux near I-94.

Police say the two drivers were westbound on I-94 when one driver allegedly cut off another driver.  They two vehicles continued on the freeway before exiting at Cadieux around 2 p.m.  Once stopped at a red light, the 33-year old got out of his car and allegedly kicked out the second driver's window and tried to pull the driver out of his car.  That's when the second driver, a 29-year old, pulled a gun and shot the man.

The man who was shot was taken to a local hospital by an acquaintance.  He's in critical condition.

The shooter had a valid concealed weapons permit and stayed at the scene, according to police.  The driver is being questioned.

The Wayne County Prosecutor's office will determine if any charges will be filed.
