Chelsea (WWJ) -- An Amtrak train was involved in an accident near Chelsea Thursday night.
The train, with about 200 people on board, was on a Chicago-to-Dearborn run when it hit a vehicle that was stopped on the railroad tracks.
Among those on the train was WWJ's Kathryn Larson, who says the person at the wheel of the stalled vehicle was able to escape before the train hit it. "It was an empty car that we hit. Police did look around for that driver and they did find him later.
Not everyone on board was aware there was a crash. "We really didn't even feel it back here. We just knew that there was a problem when they turned the lights off. They said that there was some sort of emergency, they said for us not to panic," Larson said.
No one was injured in the crash. Police are looking into whether the vehicle stalled or was left there intentionally.
