Medtipster Contest Offers Free Prescription to Visitors, Every Day for 31 Days

Troy-based Medtipster, the company behind the new online healthcare search engine and price comparator Medtipster.com, Thursday announced a new promotion to help Michigan residents save on their prescription costs.

Through Medtipster's "Free Everyday Prescription Giveaway," consumers can visit www.medtipster.com to register for a chance to win a free qualifying generic prescription from a participating pharmacy.

Network pharmacies on medtipster.com include Kroger, Target, Spartan, and Wal-Mart, among others.

Hundreds of winners will be selected at random during the 31-day promotion, beginning Dec. 1. Winners will select from thousands of qualifying generic medications listed on www.medtipster.com and receive them for free at participating pharmacies.

"Switching to generic prescriptions is a great way for consumers to save money on their healthcare costs, without compromising their quality of care," said Jason A. Klein, president of Medtipster. "Our 'Free Everyday' promotion will bring awareness to this, and to the fact that consumers can save everyday by using Medtipster.com to find where they can locate generic equivalents of their medications on discount pricing programs, right in their neighborhoods."

Medtipster is launching the promotion in Michigan, but will soon expand the promotion nationwide. For more information or to register for a chance to win, visit www.medtipster.com.

Using Medtipster's proprietary technology, consumers simply type in their drug name, dosage and zip code, and instantly find prescription drugs available on discount generic programs, and where they can find them right in their own neighborhoods. Many of these drugs are available for $4 or less.
