Sylvan Lake (WWJ) -- Residents of Sylvan Lake were under a "boil water" alert Thursday.
That's because bacterial contamination may have occurred while water department crews were making some emergency repairs.
Residents and businesses (including restaurants) are asked NOT to drink or serve water without boiling it first. The alert remains in effect until tests are completed to determine if the water is safe to drink.
More details on what a boil water alert means can be found here.
