Man Arrested On Child Pornography Charges

Washtenaw County investigators are trying to identify children who were found in photographs found at the home of an Ypsilanti Township man facing child pornography charges.

Sheriff deputies executed a search warrant at a home on Munger Road last Thursday and found over one-thousand photographs.  The 41-year old resident, identified by police as Brian Demarest, was arrested and charged on eight counts of possession/distribution of child pornography and using a computer to commit a crime.

Demarest is being held on a half-million dollar bond.  He's due back in court November 12th.

The sheriff's department says in a statement that detectives are investigating Demarest regarding the sexual assault of unidentified children in the photographs.

Parents whose children may have been in the company of Demarest or in his home should call Detective Boivin at 734-973-4625 or Detective Parviz at 734-484-6740.
