Mt. Clemens (WWJ) -- Macomb County Prosecutor Eric Smith Monday said police are looking for an accomplice in the disappearance and murder of 21-year old Matthew Landry.
Speaking live on WWJ Monday morning, Smith said Ihab Masalmani is the "target" of the investigation by Eastpointe Police. Investigators worked all weekend on the case, according to Smith.
WWJ's Mike Campbell reports Eastpointe Police say they can take their time to put a report together because Masalmani is already jailed on unrelated charges.
Smith said he doesn't expect a report or criminal charges to be filed Monday, but sometime "in the near future."
Smith said Landry had no contact or relationship with Masalmani.
"The complete randomness of the homicide is what has gotten to me," Smith said when asked what he thought about the case.

"To me such a horrendous ending is, uh, it's something that makes everyone stop and think and sort of appreciate what time we have here," Smith said.
Landry was last seen alive leaving a Quizno's sub shop on Gratiot and Ten Mile Sunday, August 9th.
The focus of the investigation is on 17-year old Ihab Masalmani who already is in jail on bank robbery and carjacking charges. Family members and investigators say Masalmani was seen using Landry's ATM card in a gas station near where the body was found.
Landry's funeral will be 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Sterling Heights. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetary in Clinton Township.
Visitation for Landry is 3-9 p.m. Monday and 2-9 p.m. Tuesday at the Kaul Funeral Home on Garfield at 15 Mile Road in Clinton Township.
