Saginaw-based MiCTA, a national non-profit technology consortium, has selected Wynnewood, Pa.-based WebStudy Inc. as a Learning Management System vendor.
"WebStudy offers an exceptional combination of service and value to our membership," said Tim von Hoff, Chief Operating Officer of MiCTA. "Many of our education members want to deliver online courses. MiCTA's partnership with WebStudy will allow them to do that quickly and easily."
Following a competitive bid process conducted with the Maryland Department of Education, MiCTA chose WebStudy to provide in-class and online products that facilitate enhanced learning experiences.
MiCTA conducts rigorous competitive bid processes for technology and telecommunications services. This allows MiCTA members to select highly qualified vendors without incurring the expense of conducting a separate competitive bidding process. MiCTA can also negotiate volume discounts that individual purchasers would not receive.
"During the bid evaluation, we relied on subject-matter experts from around the United States to develop and articulate the LMS services our members want and need," says von Hoff.
