Highland Park (WWJ) -- Ex-Detroit city councilwoman Monica Conyers is accusing FOX 2 investigative reporter Scott Lewis of drunk driving.
Conyers, who pleaded guilty to bribery charges and resigned from the Detroit City Council last week, made the comments Tuesday as she prepared to host her weekly show at a Highland Park television station.
As she prepared to enter the WHPR-TV 33 studio, she was met by several reporters who wanted to ask her questions. She countered with a question of her own.
"Do I come to your house? So why are you bothering me, Scott? Let's talk about your drunk driving convictions. I'm investigating you next," Conyers said as cameras rolled.
Specifically, Conyers accused Lewis of drinking and driving at a Christmas party in Macomb County, adding that she saw him at the party.
"You do drink and drive, right?," she asked Lewis. Lewis then asked if he could sue her if he did not have any drunk driving convictions.
In more than 40 years of driving, Lewis says he has never had an alcohol related offense. FOX 2 posted Lewis' driving record here.
