Plante & Moran gets firm's sixth managing partner: Gordon Krater, CPA, became managing partner of Plante & Moran effective July 1. He is only the sixth managing partner since the firm was founded in 1924. Krater was elected to the four year term by the firm’s partners last October, and succeeds Bill Hermann, who has served as managing partner since July 2001. “During Bill Hermann’s tenure, the firm grew by expanding its geographic footprint and broadening service capabilities," Krater said. "I look forward to building on Bill’s accomplishments and continuing the core traditions of client service, staff development and community leadership that have been fundamental to our development over the years.
