2009 Mackinac Policy Conference

Hosted by the Detroit Regional Chamber, Wednesday, May 27 through Saturday, May 30, at the Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island, the 2009 Mackinac Policy Conference brings together more than 1,700 of Southeast Michigan's business and political leaders to discuss issues of importance to the Detroit region and the state.

Beginning Wednesday afternoon, stay tuned for complete live coverage from the event with WWJ Newsradio 950 CityBeat Reporter Vickie Thomas. On Thursday evening, 7-9 p.m. WWJ's Jayne Bower will host a special live broadcast from the island "Into the Future: A Conversation With Michigan Leader

WWJ Technology Editor Matt Roush will be covering the conference from a technology perspective, concentrating on sessions on renewable energy in Michigan, boosting economic development efforts in the life sciences and the characteristics of next-generation companies.
