What we've heard about Mr. Stoldt:
"Valuable link with school officials, transporting students, 'go between' guy between the students and mentors, relaying team meeting notifications messages to students
As a mentor, Mr. Stoldt has committed a large amount of time to the team. He is currently pursuing is Masters Degree and has still found time to go about and beyond to help the team. He is frequently found around the shop contributing is some way to each of the various sub teams. Mr. Stoldt is our team's link with the school. There have been many different nights where the team can be found sitting in his room working on a feature of the robot. He has been more than willing to drive students to and from meetings and competitions as well. Our school is in the midst of difficulties with the school board, meaning that they still do not have contracts. As part of the Labor Union's agreement to help the teachers, the teachers have been asked to cut back on extracurricular activities that the school doesn't pay them for. I am proud to say that despite that difficulty, Mr. Stoldt has dedicated an enormous amount of time to our team and he deserves to be recognized. "
"Mr. Stoldt answered the call to coach the robotics team back in December of 2007. At that time, the team was just being formed to compete in the 2007-2008 FIRST robotics season. Mr. Stoldt agreed to coach the team because he felt a need for a program like this at Capac Community Schools. He told me that the students would benefit by being able to apply classroom lessons into practical reality, and yet have fun doing so. Mr. Stoldt has also worked cooperatively with other teachers in the high school to get their support as well. From Mrs. Laing, the art teacher, to Mr. Watt, the CAD teacher, to Mr. Hitchcock, the business teacher, Mr. Stoldt has been able to get the team support. "
