"Mr. Crombe is team 910 Foley Freeze's coach and lead mentor. He is at school during the build season every day organizing, working and mentoring the students.
Mr. John Crombe is an outstanding teacher and mentor. In the past six weeks the students on the robotics team have learned many valuable lessons from Mr. Crombe. Beginning with kick off on Jan 3rd the excitement level and spirit of the competition has been nothing less then super charged. He is an extremely enthusiastic teacher making sure that the students are learning mentally as well as socially and spiritually. He teaches his Foley students life lessons along the way like the importance of mentoring other teams by inviting them in to our school during our build to help them so that they will be able to compete too. FIRST calls this gracious professionalism, I believe this is just what Mr. Crombe is. He is a positive influence on his students and we are lucky to have him mentoring us.
For Mr. Crombe the season never really ends. He is involved with the team all year round. He enthusiastically promotes Bishop Foley and the First organization when ever the opportunity allows. He travels around the city with team 910 students and the robot demonstrating and teaching younger students the importance what First is about and how much fun learning can be."
