"This teacher has been a mentor of the team since it started, and has been to every single team meeting.

Abe Zain has been the most important member on our team for the whole time we've been a team. He was there for the start, and he's been at every meeting, dilligently coming no matter the weather or how much his wife yells at him. He is fair in dealing with students and listens to everyone's opinions about the team and the robot. He's so dedicated he has nightmares about our budget going in the red, and he wakes up in the morning and goes over all the numbers to make sure we're okay."

"Mr. Zain is an excellent mentor to the students of Team 1596. He is patient and understanding and works with every student. He ensures that each student has a role to play and has a job to do throughout the fundraising activities and robot build process. He encourages all students to be positive role models, and this shows when the students travel to competitions.

Every student is polite, well mannered, and shows tremendous sportsmanship. To my knowledge, Mr. Zain is also the State of Michigan coordinator for the MITES program. Mr. Zain does all of this voluntarily, after performing his daily teaching duties. This clearly shows his dedication to the students at the Sault Area Career Center, and the students on Team 1596."
