Frank Cody High School - 4 years participation in FIRST
What we've heard about Mr. Carroll:
"Mr. Carroll has been involved with the Robotics team for at least the last four years. Even in trying circumstances, he pushes forward to encourage his students to work hard and not to give up. I applauder him for his diligence and his unwavering commitment to our students. He provides transportation, motivation, nutrition and all of the needs necessary for them to participate and enhance their knowledge."
"Mr. Carroll has help provided us experiences in design, construction, and problem-solving. As an mentor we are using physics, computer science, engineering and math. He is working with our school, other start up teams, the Detroit public schools, FIRST and our parents to see a larger world. I had below a "C" grade point average. With Mr. Carroll as a mentor, I am making a "B+ to A" average. I got elected as president of my senior class. One student decided to go to Wayne State Engineering School. One student is going to Michigan Tech. in their engineering program. Other teachers in our school and other schools look for his advice in robotics. He continues to work with our team after he was lay off. Mr. Carroll cares about our team and we would do any thing for him."
