Milford Township (WWJ) -- Demolition crews ripped down a barn in Milford Township as FBI agents and others search for the remains of former Teamsters leader Jimmy Hoffa.
The heavy equipment arrived at 7:30 Wednesday morning and the barn was demolished by midday. The debris was loaded into dump trucks and taken to a landfill.
Some members of the FBI\'s evidence response team pulled pieces of wood from the remains of the barn and set them aside, while other agents shot video and took still photographs of the demolition.

Donald Shouse of nearby Highland Township, who has done business on the farm for three decades, said the structure was built sometime in the 1970s and was the oldest barn on the site.
While it cost $6,000 to remove the barn, the FBI has said it does not have an estimate on the total cost of the search, which began May 17 at the Hidden Dreams Farm off of Maple Road.
Last week, the FBI said the search would last for a couple weeks.
Hoffa disappeared in 1975. There have been several searches for his remains in recent years.
A government investigator said last week that Donovan Wells, who lived on the farm when Hoffa disappeared was the one who gave the FBI the tip that has sparked the intense effort to solve a legendary mystery.
Meanwhile, some businesses in Milford are taking advantage of being in the national spotlight. Workers at the Milford Baking Company say they sold more than 300 Hoffa cupcakes that have a plastic, green hand reaching out of frosting that resembles dirt. The bakery was expecting to sell hundreds more and put out a special order for the hands. Other businesses had slogans making reference to Hoffa put up in their windows and on their signs.
