WWJ Looks to the Future

A fundamental change in the Michigan economy is underway.   One side effect of that that change has been massive disruption in the automotive industry -- the industry that has formed the core of the Michigan economy for more than 100 years.

What gave the automotive industry its firm foothold in Detroit was the spirit of innovation, of creativity, and the vision for the future that was found here in the early 1900's.   That same spirit of creative innovation and that vision of a better tomorrow remains a key part of the Michigan character.

With "Our Michigan, Our Future", WWJ Newsradio 950 hopes to capture that spirit and understand what it means for a new generation.   What will the Michigan of the future be?   Who is at work today shaping that vision?   Who are the innovators, the inventors, and the new thinkers who are sowing the seeds for the next century of prosperity?   What are the obstacles that are getting in their way?

Through WWJ.com, our reporters, writers, and anchors will be seeking your input, your opinions, and trying to learn even more about the thousand of small steps being taken every day to bring new hope to Detroit and to Michigan as a whole.   It is also our goal to connect you with resources and with the people and places where you can lend a hand and help shape the properous future we all want to see.

We seek your feedback.   We want your ideas.  "Our Michigan, Our Future" is as much your project as ours.

Join the conversation.
