Compuware Announces Worldwide CU2008 Uniface User Conference

Detroit-based Compuware Corp. (NASDAQ: CPWR) Wednesday announced that the annual Compuware Uniface User Conference, CU2008, will be held on Dec. 1 and 2 at the Renaissance Hotel in Amsterdam.

CU2008 will provide attendees with an exclusive first look at the yet-to-be-announced Uniface 9.4 development solution.

Attendees can also look forward to an update on the features of new versions, a Uniface roadmap, as well as a wealth of information and networking opportunities with Uniface users around the world.

"This year's annual Uniface User Conference is very exciting for us, particularly as it marks the first release of Uniface that supports rich internet applications," said Aad van Schetsen, vice president for Uniface at Compuware. "Uniface continues to build on its strong heritage of delivering strategic applications amid constant technology and business innovation. Combined with its technology independence, Uniface's ability to rapidly build, renew and integrate large and complex enterprise applications make it more popular today than any time in its 24-year history."

CU2008 will attract several hundred developers, development managers, project managers, software engineers, architects and CIOs. It is the best opportunity for Uniface users worldwide -- from Australia to America, from Norway to South Africa -- to meet peers, share experiences and best practices. Covering the breadth and depth of business and technical needs, CU2008 will feature business-level and technical presenters from around the world, including Europe, Australia and North America. Presenters will not only include Uniface users and customers but also internationally acclaimed IT industry thought leaders, such as Bola Rotibi, Principal Analyst at MWD Advisors.

The conference will also feature Uniface partners with vendor exhibits and presentations. In addition, Uniface users will have the opportunity to network during the Uniface technical campground, the Lunch and Learn sessions, the conference dinner and entertainment program. At the same time, Compuware is also offering optional, free training workshops on Dec. 3, 2008 for all CU2008 visitors.

"This is the premier event for Uniface users globally to come together, learn from each other and to get firsthand access to upcoming products and product benefits," said Udo Pott, CU2008 Uniface steering committee member, representing the German user group.

Uniface is Compuware's development environment for building, renewing and integrating the largest and most complex enterprise applications. Offering high developer productivity and leading-edge functionality, Uniface helps IT organizations reduce the cost of ownership of business-critical applications and increase the return on investment for the IT budget. The Uniface Application Platform Suite delivers an enterprise capable solution. It provides application development, integration, business process management and user interface frameworks through software products that can be used both individually or together.
