Roger Penske, the billionaire racing legend who became the one of Detroit's most high-profile cheerleader as head of the Super Bowl XL host committee, has taken on a permanent leadership role in the city as chairman of the Downtown Detroit Partnership.
Penske is the owner of a very successful automobile racing team Penske Racing, the Penske Corporation and other automotive related businesses. He is also one of the corporate directors at General Electric and a 1959 graduate of Lehigh University in Pennsylvania.
