Northville Man Pleads Guilty to Fraud

A former Northville chiropractor pleads guilty in federal court to falsely billing Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan. Fifty-two year-old Geoffrey Ramseur, who now lives in Florida, entered the plea before U.S. District Judge Denise Page Hood Friday afternoon.

Ramseur admitted defrauding the Blues by billing the insurer for work he did not perform. He recruited workers at two companies, paying them up to 200 dollars to help him file false billings to Blue Cross Blue Shield. Government prosecutors said the scheme cost the Blues 121 thousand dollars.
