Oneupweb Sets Career Fair

What economic downturn? The Traverse City marketing technologies shop Oneupweb says it's growing sharply.

In fact the company has so many positions open -- at least nine at current count -- that it's holding a career fair Oct. 22.

“As we continue to grow and expand our service offerings, new positions are being created at a rapid rate,” says Oneupweb founder and CEO Lisa Wehr. “And the hardest part is trying to find qualified, talented people to fill them who understand the importance of hard work and a job done well.”

Oneupweb's event will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and from 4 to 7 p.m. at its headquarters, located at 13561 S. West Bayshore Drive (that's M-22 headed out of TC towards Suttons Bay) in Traverse City.

Specific positions they are looking to fill include:

Web Developer
SEO Project Manager
PPC Project Manager
Researcher/Copywriter
Copywriter
Administrative Assistant
Marketing/PR Coordinator
Media Coordinator
Graphic Designer
And more.

“We’re searching for passionate, driven people who want to work hard, play hard and help shape an industry,” Wehr said.

Oneupweb provides integrated online marketing services to national clients such as Meijer, Schwan’s, Highlights Magazine, Huntington Bank, BrightStar Healthcare and more.

The digital marketing agency has experienced the kind of growth that entrepreneurs only dream of -- increasing revenue by 40 percent and more year over year, with staff increases of up to 100 percent during a given year. Oneupweb currently has more than 40 employees.

Anyone interested in attending or finding out more about the Oneupweb career fair is invited to contact Oneupweb’s Human Resources Director Anne Rix by calling (231) 922-9977 ext. 128 or emailing Anne@Oneupweb.com.

Oneupweb was recently named a Top 20 Search Marketing Agency by Advertising Age, and CEO Lisa Wehr is recognized as an Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year. The company publishes an award-winning blog and podcast entitled StraightUpSearch.
