Amber Alert

Detroit (WWJ)  -- An Amber Alert has been issued for a missing two-year old Hamtramck girl.  She was reportedly last seen at a gas station on Greenfield at Eight Mile in Detroit.

Two-year-old Tangena Hussain was left in the care of her mother's 27-year-old boyfriend at approximately 3 p.m. on October 2, 2008 when he dropped the 24-year-old mother off at work.  The boyfriend alleges that right before he went to pick up the mother from her job (at the end of her shift), he stopped at the gas station to make a purchase, leaving the child in the vehicle. He says that when exited the building and returned to the vehicle, the child was gone.

The child is described as an East Indian, 35 lbs, with a light brown complexion, and black shoulder length hair. She was last seen wearing a long sleeve brown t-shirt with unknown cartoon character on front, white nylon cargo pants with multiple pockets and gold sandals.

Anyone who has information on the disappearance of Tangena Hussain is asked to contact the Detroit Police Department at 313-596-1240.

Information from Detroit police.
