TC's Oneupweb: Go Pirate Or Walk The Plank

Avast, matey, don't be surprised if you call Traverse City's Oneupweb today and find every word ends in "arrr."

That's right -- all 40-some employees of the IT and Web marketing consultant will all be dressed up for International Talk Like A Pirate Day. That or they'll be forced to walk the plank as scurvy scum. (And this company's on Grand Traverse Bay, so they actually CAN make you walk the plank.)

“It all started when someone asked me if I knew that September 19 was an official holiday,” said Oneupweb CEO Lisa Wehr. “Then someone got a hold of pictures of Bill Gates and Steve Jobs, and the rest is Oneupweb lore.”

Oneupweb is an innovative and creative digital marketing company that helps clients create integrated online marketing plans that include natural search engine optimization, paid search marketing, conversion improvement and analytics, podcast production, social media marketing, online media planning and placement and search marketing consultation for in-house marketing teams.

Oneupweb was recently named a Top 20 Search Marketing Agency by Advertising Age, and CEO Lisa Wehr is recognized as an Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year. The company publishes an award-winning blog and podcast entitled StraightUpSearch.
