Beaumont Adds Web Site In Proton Therapy Effort

A Web site is a new marketing tool for Beaumont Hospitals and ProCure Treatment Centers in their effort to bring a $159 million proton therapy clinic to Beaumont in Royal Oak.

The effort is currently tied up in state certificate of need paperwork, competing against proposals for similar machinery at Karmanos Cancer Institute and Henry Ford Health System in Detroit.

The new site, www.protontherapymichigan.com went operational as of May 1.
The new site will provide visitors with 24-hour access to information about proton therapy, the proposed Beaumont facility, an overview of the need for proton therapy in Michigan, clinical articles and news releases.
