Ypsilanti (WWJ)  -- If you fell asleep in Physics class, take another look. In this case, Science is a sport. In the FIRST Robotics program, students get a unique preview into the professional world of engineering, science and math as they design and build a robot to compete in a varsity-style competition.

In the end, after a day of competition that left judges and competitors exhausted and the robots sputtering, an alliance of Milford-Lakeland, Romulus and Novi high schools won the FIRST Robotics Great Lakes Regional on Saturday, at Eastern Michigan University. They're now eligible for the national finals in Atlanta next month. Check out some video clips below, and read more.
