Great snowboarding isn’t limited to northern Michigan. In the Detroit Metro area, check out:
Pine Knob, Clarkston: Pine Knob keeps its three snowboarding parks in shape with its Top Gun snowmaker fleet. Pine Knob also increased the number of snow guns by 15 percent to insure that there is ample snow on the slopes.
Alpine Valley, White Lake: Alpine Valley’s snowboarding area for experts has a huge halfpipe and adjoining terrain park with ramps, rails and launches for really big air.
Mt. Brighton, Brighton: Whether you prefer terrain parks or halfpipes, Mt. Brighton has plenty of boarding action that’s close by.
Mt. Holly, Holly: Check out Mt. Holly’s brand-new snowboard park. If you don’t know how to snowboard, sign up for their snowboard school and let the pros show you how.
