Writing Marathon

To give your child’s writing a serious workout, it might be time to try a writing marathon. This does not mean writing the same sentence over and over, but is a way to combine seeing different sights with writing.

To set up a writing marathon, choose a few places to visit, and make a map of the course for the writers. Then send them out with a notebook and something to write with. Then at each stage, they sit down and do some writing about the place they are in.

A writing marathon is a good way to work on both writing and exercise for you and your child.
