Detroit (WWJ\\AP) -- Kandia Milton has been named acting mayor, in light of the incarceration of Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick. Who is Kandia Milton? He\'s a 37-year old Detroit resident and a fellow Democrat.
He holds a Bachelor\'s degree in communications studies from Niagara University. Milton was a registered stockbroker and direct sales account executive before joining Kilpatrick\'s administration in 2002. He also spent four years as administration\'s liaison with city council and was a former deputy chief of staff before Kilpatrick appointed him chief of staff earlier this year to replace resigning Christine Beatty.
