What Pothole Repairs Cost

What does it cost to repair potholes on Michigan's trunklines? According to the Michigan Department of Transportation, it's quite a bit. The figures below are as reported on MDOT's web site.

Fiscal Year 2005:  $5,500,000

Fiscal Year 2006:  $5,100,000

Fiscal Year 2007:  $4,200,000

(MDOT Note: These estimates indicate a consistent decline in pothole repair costs during the past three years).
