Let’s Count Eggs!
Now that plastic eggs (that come apart) are on sale, this is the time to use them for helping your young child to learn math. Place different number of jelly beans in the plastic egg (between 5 and 10 buttons).
With a permanent marker label each egg with the number of jelly beans that are inside the eggs. Hide the eggs while your child is in another room. As the child finds the eggs, ask them to count the beans and the eggs.
Have children relate the number of beans to the words on the eggs.
