If you have a little inventor around the house, or want to get your child more interested in innovation, the Smithsonian has created a website called Invention at Play.
One section of the site, Tinkerball, challenges kids to use elements such as gears, boards and tubes to take a ball from the top of the screen to the cup at the bottom. Your child can try different combinations until his or her eureka moment hits.
The goal of the site is to encourage more kids to study science and technology, and to have fun while learning to solve the puzzle.
