WWJ.com Adds New Feature, New Way To Listen

There's a new news feature on wwj.com, as well as a new way to listen to WWJ Newsradio 950 -- directly on your iPhone.

Apple and AOL have teamed up on a free widget that you download onto your phone. It allows you to listen to any CBS Radio station directly on your iPhone.

Check it out at www.wwj.com/Listen-Anywhere-on-Your-iPhone-or-iTouch/2643233.

Also, WWJ Newsradio 950 has introduced a new streaming special broadcast, "Eye on Michigan Politics."

This two-hour weekly program features four of Michigan's top political consultants -- two Democrats and two Republicans -- in a candid, detailed discussion of the issues facing the state.

WWJ Newsradio 950 reporter and anchor Marie Osborne hosts the show.

To listen in, visit www.wwj.com/Eye-On-Michigan-Politics/2623557. The show is streamed live on Tuesdays from 10 a.m. to noon, but can be downloaded or listened to at any time.

The show's Democratic stars are Todd Cook, a 15-year veteran of state politics and a former aide to State Reps. Buzz Thomas and Curtis Hertel, State Sen. Gary Peters and U.S. Rep. Bob Carr, and Kerry Ebersole, a former aide to then-Attorney General Jennifer Granholm and a longtime political activist. On the Republican side, the show features John Truscott, former Gov. John Engler's longtime press secretary and a GOP activist, and Greg McNeilly, who served as the executive director of the Michigan Republican Party during the 2004 re-election of George W. Bush and campaign manager for campaign manager for 2006 Michigan Republican gubernatorial candidate Dick DeVos.
