UM-Dearborn To Host Entrepreneurship Academy

The University of Michigan-Dearborn will host its second annual Entrepreneurship Academy in partnership with the Ford Motor Co. Fund and Students in Free enterprise July 6-18 at its College of Business, 19000 Hubbard Drive, Dearobrn.

The academy will award $15,000 in Ford Blue Oval Scholarships and feature a business plan competition involving two dozen high school juniors from public and private schools across southeast Michigan.

Students who successfully complete the Academy will receive a $500 Ford Blue Oval Scholarship to the college of their choice. The $500 scholarships are doubled by the University of Michigan-Dearborn’s College of Business if students attend UM-Dearborn for post high school education.

A final business plan competition on July 18 will result in winning teams of students receiving additional Ford Blue Oval Scholarship awards.
