U of M Study: Jobs Arriving in 2010

Ann Arbor (WWJ)  -- A new report Wednesday from the University of Michigan says the state's economic slump will likely continue for another two years.

The report says that sometime in 2010, the state will see a slight gain of about 30,000 jobs.  The catch?  That'll happen only after another 90,000 jobs disappear in the rest of 2008 and 2009.

U of M economists first predicted the state would see a small job gain in 2009, but have revised that, saying that rising food and energy prices will delay the recovery.
