Now that the days are getting longer and the weather is better, it might be time for your children to take a break from television. Turning off the television can give your child and family a chance to try activities that are hard to do during the winter, like taking a bicycle ride, going to a local park, or just playing or board game or doing a puzzle.
This gives you more time to talk to your child, and a chance for everyone to get some physical activity. Be sure to provide a reward for a no-TV week or month, like a special trip or treat to encourage your child to stick with it.
