The Venues

Detroit (WWJ)  -- You can take your pick of where to enjoy the competition, happening throughout Southeast Michigan.
Rock Financial Showplace in Novi will host competitions for about 3,000 AAU Junior Olympic Games competitors in cheer-leading; gymnastics; jump rope; karate; power-lifting; table tennis; taekwondo; trampoline and tumbling; weightlifting and wrestling.

The Olds-Marshall Track at Eastern Michigan University's (EMU) Rynearson Stadium will host more than 9,000 AAU athletes competing in track and field events. The EMU Jones Natatorium will house swimming and diving events.

Other venues include: baton twirling at Novi Middle School; beach volleyball at the Southfield Civic Center Park; boy's basketball at Lutheran Westland-Lutheran North High School; baseball at Bicentennial Park in Livonia and Henry Ford Community College in Dearborn; girl's basketball at Lake Orion High School, Scripps Middle School and the Community Education Resource Center (C.E.R.C.); dance competitions at the Allen Park Center for the Arts; field hockey games at Ann Arbor Huron High School; and flag football games at Bentley Field-Livonia Community Recreation Center.
