The Early Bird Catches The Worm: Early Resume Preparation

While it may seem too soon to start putting a resume together in high school, putting together achievements is an important way of preparing for college or for employment.

Many young people graduate from college without knowing how to write a solid resume, so starting early will pay dividends for your child.

A high school student’s resume should include education, objectives, work experience, skills and references. This will allow your child to have all this information handy when applying for summer program, jobs, college or other opportunities.

At least once a year this can be updated so that your child is always ready to apply for opportunities as they arise.
