GDP Report Drives Stocks Higher After 4-Day Slide: Stocks logged their best day in three months as investors rushed into the market on word the economy grew faster than expected.

Federal support for spending on cars and homes drove the economy up 3.5 percent from July through September. The Dow Jones industrial average is up 200 to 9,963, its best gain since mid-July.
