Technology For Girls

When you think of Girl Scouts, the first thing that comes to mind is cookies. For girls and young women in Southeast Michigan, scouting means exposure to careers in technology.
The Girl Scouts of Metro Detroit created new programs, this fall and winter, ranging from a Chemistry day at Belle Isle to “Millionaire in the making.”
The Scouts address the decline of interest that girls have in science and technology during and after middle school, to show young women the college and career opportunities in math, science and technology fields.
