SAVE THE DATE for WWJ's 7th Annual Radiothon for THAW!


The 7th Annual WWJ Newsradio 950 Winter Survival Radiothon benefiting The Heat And Warmth Fund (THAW) will take place on Friday, February 5 and Saturday, February 6, 2010 in the beautiful MGM Grand Detroit.

WWJ Newsradio 950 will broadcast LIVE beginning at 5am Friday and ending at noon on Saturday from MGM Grand Detroit to help raise much needed funds for THAW. THAW provides emergency utility assistance to low-to-moderate income individuals and families in Michigan.

Live interviews with families that THAW has helped will air during the 31 hour Radiothon as will on-air check presentations from sponsors, on-site reporting, and much more. An on-site donation call center will be set up with volunteers taking phone pledges and online donations can be made at www.wwj.com.

People will be encouraged to donate by on-air prompting, incentive programs, and other special Radiothon promotions. Additionally, listeners will be encouraged to bid on numerous items available through the Online Auction website. The goal for this year’s WWJ Newsradio 950 Winter Survival Radiothon benefiting THAW is $700,000. These funds will help thousands of Michigan individuals and families stay safe and warm this winter season.

Get involoved in WWJ's Winter Survival Radioton for THAW! On February 5 – 6, 2010 at the MGM Grand Detroit, we invite you to join forces with WWJ Newsradio 950 in a unique effort to support THAW through the Pedal for Power Challenge.
