Syntel Continues as Title Sponsor of the Midwest Top50 Junior Golf Tour

Troy-based Syntel Inc. (NASDAQ: SYNT), the IT and business process outsourcing provider, said Thursday that it will again be the corporate title sponsor for the 2008 Midwest Top 50 Junior Tour.

Syntel first sponsored the Midwest Top50 Junior Tour in 2006.

The National Golf Scholarship Association (non-profit organization) combines efforts with the Top50jrTour to provide a competitive golfing experience exclusively for junior golfers ages 11-19 in the Midwest.

The primary goal of this student golf program is to provide numerous competitive playing opportunities and scholarship awards to several deserving junior golfers who have the desire to attend college.

The tour is designed to encourage and enhance the playing ability of young golfers while at the same time recognizing and rewarding hundreds of deserving student athletes. Points toward scholarship dollars are earned through rankings on the tour, grade point average, community service activities, and entry essays.

Top junior players from Michigan and Ohio will compete for top honors Aug. 10-12 at Treetops Resort in Gaylord. Tickets are available by contacting the Top50jrTour at (248) 321-9900.

Comcast will be broadcasting the Midwest Top50 Junior Championship at least three times between Aug. 20 and Nov. 20. Additionally, the Championship will be available on "Video On Demand" for up to 30 days.
