Supplier GKN Adds Online Pressroom

Auburn Hills-based GKN Driveline has launched an online press room that provides journalists quick access to comprehensive information about the company, a global supplier of driveline components and solutions to the automotive industry.

The online newsroom is located at www.gkndriveline.com under the Web site’s “News/Events” tab. News media can register with GKN Driveline’s media center to access high-resolution photographs, company media contacts, press releases, executive biographies, press kits and historical information.

A special media center feature is GKN Driveline’s “My Briefcase,” which allows media representatives to save press releases, press kits and photos to their own personalized online briefcase. Journalists who register with the GKN Driveline media center during 2008 will be eligible to win a Mont Blanc “Cool Blue” pen.

Developed in partnership with TEKgroup International, the center includes audio-visual features, press event information, corporate logos and the capability to view company presentations.

GKN Driveline is a global enterprise with 21,000 people working at 40 locations in 30 countries. The company recorded sales of $4 billion (€2.6 billion) in 2007.

GKN Driveline’s global operations will soon be available on the Internet in Mandarin. Currently available in English, German and Japanese, the company will add Mandarin in June, followed by Italian, French, Portuguese and Spanish during the next 12 months.
