Summer College Tour

By Russell Olwell, Department of History and Philosophy, EMU

Many colleges slow down over the summer, when many students are off campus working, but it is a great time to take your child to visit some nearby campuses.

Colleges give tours year round, and seeing college classroom and facilities can inspire your student to work hard next school year. College admissions counselors can tell your students what they need to do in high school to attend and afford the college they want.

Try to visit the places on campus where students eat, live and exercise – the facilities available to college students can make a big impact on your middle or high school student.
