Huron Capital gets sales exec: Detroit-based Huron Capital Partners LLC announced Monday that Gretchen Perkins has joined the firm as vice president of business development. With more than 20 years experience in the finance and business development sectors, Perkins fills the newly created marketing position with a deep network of contacts in the business transaction world. Perkins will be responsible for driving the firm's efforts to originate investment opportunities as an equity sponsor for management buyouts and recapitalizations for new platform investments as well as add-on acquisitions for existing market strategies. Gretchen is one of the most respected and visible marketing professionals in our industry. Prekins was previously vice president of business development for Long Point Capital, a middle market private equity fund with $315 million under management. Perkins has also held senior business development positions at IRN, Inc., a consulting and market research firm, Fleet Capital Corp. and GE Capital Corp. where she originated and structured buyout financing packages. She holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Michigan and serves on the Board of Directors for the Southeast Michigan Chapter of the Association for Corporate Growth. Financial firm gets marketing director: Flint-based M.R. Spencer Financial Services has named Brandie L. Kaminski as its marketing director. Kaminski will lead a rebranding of the company while driving revenue through new business developments and strategies.  She has more than 15 years of marketing experience, most recently as business development manager at MyBuys in Ann Arbor and prior to that at CBS Radio and Philips Mobile Display Systems. M.R. Spencer Financial Services has been in the financial planning industry for moer than 28 years.
