Environmental firm adds two former Bank of America analysts: Hazel Park-based PM Environmental Inc. has added two former Bank of America environmental risk managers to its staff. They will serve as environmental risk management professionals in the PM's environmental risk management division. Michelle Cochran and Kevin Kruszewski join Steve Price in the division. Both were formerly employed by LaSalle Bank, now Bank of America. Cochran joins the environmental consulting firm with more than five years of experience at LaSalle Bank. Kruszewski was vice president and environmental risk officer at the bank. Price has worked for PM for more than four years and came to the firm with more than 16 years of environmental consulting and financial risk management experience. He was also a vice president and environmental risk officer going back to the days when Bank of America's local operations were the independent Michigan National Bank and Standard Federal Bank. Velcura adds life sciences expert to board: Ann Arbor-based Velcura Therapeutics Inc. Friday announced that William F. Brinkerhoff has joined the board of directors of the biotechnology company. Velcura is investigating its lead compound as a treatment for rheumatoid arthritis and other bone diseases. Brinkerhoff is COO of Cerenis Therapeutics, which is focused on the discovery, development and commercialization of HDL-related therapies for the treatment of cardiovascular and metabolic diseases. Before founding Cerenis in 2005, Brinkerhoff was vice president of business development for Esperion Therapeutics in Ann Arbor, where he successfully negotiated multiple large potential partnering agreements prior to Esperion’s acquisition by Pfizer. Before joining Esperion in 2002, he was the director of business development and director of market planning and sales operations, for Sankyo Parke Davis in Parsippany, N.J. Brinkerhoff has a bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, a master's degree in operations research and an MBA, all from the University of Michigan.
