Simple Practice For Tougher Algebra
|
Factoring, or being able to tell what numbers multiply together to form another number, is a key skill for algebra. But many students struggle with it, even into the high school years.
Students need to know whether a number is prime (no factors other than one) or a compound number.
Practice asking your child how many of each number is in another number – how many threes are in nine, for instance. This kind of practice with numbers, even just numbers up to twenty, will get your child ready for tougher material.
