Report: Gold-Plated Casket Ordered For Jackson

Michael Jackson will reportedly be buried in a $25,000 casket, solid bronze with velvet and 14-karat gold plating.

According to the website TMZ and other outlets, the custom casket was ordered from Batesville Casket Company, based in Batesville, Indiana.  The casket is called a Promethean and is similar to the one James Brown was buried in, according to TMZ.

Batesville's website, which lists the wholesale price as $21,300, says features of the Promethean casket include:

* Living Memorial Tree Program
* Locking mechanism plus a one-piece rubber gasket
* Continuously welded bottom
* Each casket factory tested for quality assurance
* Limited Warranty
* Interior chemically treated to resist rust and corrosion
* Adjustable Bed and Mattress
* Memorial Record
